This is my most favorite Mexican restaurant in Johnson city Tennessee! I can vouch for its authenticity
We were there last night for a friend's birthday
We had there vegetable omelette, chicken fajitas, enchiladas
Just look at the pictures  and you'll get the idea!
They were cute enough to sing him a birthday song and offer a free ice cream dessert
    Great service!
Most definitely going there whenever I'm in the mood for Mexican

Great food, terrible service today. I came in at noon and sat down at the bar. Around five minutes had passed when I looked around the restaurant and realized that nobody is running the bar. A random server approached me and asked if anyone had helped me. I said "no, I've only just sat down it's okay." She asks what I want to drink and asks if I want bean dip and chips. After setting those down she walks away without giving me a menu or any other exchange of words. Between 5-10 minutes later she approaches and asks if I want a menu. After bringing me a menu it takes another 5-10 for her to come back and take my order (Pechuga Fundida.) Luckily the food came out fast and smelled delicious! However, the server did not give me silverware. After waiting at least five minutes with my food getting cold in front of me I have to get up from my seat and go find my server to ask for silverware. Waiting for the check now.
Edit: I just had to get up and find my server to pay my bill. She was at the host station talking with other employees.
My recommendation for Ole's is to please have a server more attentive of the bar. I love coming here, as this is my favorite Mexican food in town, but my service today was very obnoxious. I'll be back, but most likely at dinner when I know I'll have a server assigned to me.

I used to like this place when they first opened a few years ago but they have gone way downhill.  After the past couple of experiences, I won't go back.  The food was salty and pricey and the service was slow.  I ordered the avocado burrito which literally had no avocado at all - very disappointing.  (The avocado burrito was the first things I ate there years ago and it had big chunks of avocado.  Not sure if they've decided to skimp on ingredients or were out of avocado and didn't communicate that to me.  Either way, it's not acceptable.)

If you have a large number of people in your group ie 12 or more I wouldn't bother dining at this establishment.   They could not seat our entire party together (12 of us) completely at one table because of a fire hazard.  Service is a bit slow here and the last meal I had here was not appetizing at all. Thank goodness for bottomless chips otherwise I would have left here hungry.   If you are gonna be called Ole Guacamoles then you better have some good guac.  Most of mine was good but some of it was in edible as half the avocados used were not ripe yet.  Overall this experience was so much of let down that I don't think I will be returning.

Fresh, delicious food! Friendly service, great suggestions! Always love the table side guacamole. Salsa bar with great variety. Carnitas Traditionales - my new favorite. Husband got the Especiales Enchiladas- a very close second. Such great flavors.
